NavLog ("we", "our", "the app") is a flight logbook application for pilots. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.

Information We Collect

Account information: When you create a NavLog account, we collect your email address and a password (stored securely, never in plain text).

Flight log data: We store the flight information you enter, including flight hours, aircraft details, dates, and related logbook entries you choose to record.

Historical hours: If you enter historical flight hours from before using NavLog, we store this information to display accurate combined totals in your exports.

Subscription and payment information: If you purchase a paid subscription, payment is processed by a third-party payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details ourselves.

Job search data: If you use the AI-powered job search feature, your search parameters (such as region and job type) are sent to an AI service to generate results. We do not use this feature to build a profile of you beyond providing search results.

Device and usage information: We may collect basic technical information (such as device type and app version) to help diagnose issues and improve the app.

Photos and documents: Photos, PDFs and documents you attach in the app remain stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain your flight logbook and account
• To generate PDF exports of your flight records
• To process subscription payments
• To provide AI-assisted job search results
• To communicate with you about your account (e.g., password resets)
• To improve app stability and performance

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

• Our database and hosting providers, to store and serve your data
• Our payment processor, to handle subscription billing
• AI service providers, solely to process job search requests you initiate

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure. We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage.

Your Choices

You may update or delete your account information at any time within the app. To request full account deletion, contact us using the details below.

Children's Privacy

NavLog is intended for use by pilots and aviation professionals and is not directed at children under 13.

Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the NavLog mobile application ("the app", "NavLog", "we", "our"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use NavLog.

1. The Service

NavLog is a flight logbook and aviation reference application for pilots and cabin crew. It provides flight logging, duty and rest calculations, weather and NOTAM references, exports, and related tools.

2. Not an Official Source

All calculations, weather, NOTAM and reference information in NavLog are provided for reference only. They do not replace your airline's operations manual, official flight documentation, dispatch releases, or civil aviation authority regulations. You remain solely responsible for verifying legality, currency, and operational decisions with official sources.

3. Your Account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to use NavLog; the app is intended for aviation professionals.

4. Subscriptions and Purchases

• NavLog offers free features and optional paid subscriptions ("PRO") and consumable purchases (such as AI tokens).
• Purchases are processed by the app store (Google Play / Apple App Store) under their billing terms. Prices may change with notice through the store.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your store account settings before the renewal date.
• Refunds are handled according to the applicable app store's refund policy.

5. Your Data

• You retain ownership of the flight records and content you enter into NavLog.
• Free accounts store data locally on your device; PRO accounts may additionally sync structured logbook data to our cloud servers.
• Photos, PDFs and documents you attach remain stored locally on your device and are never uploaded to our servers.
• You are responsible for maintaining backups using the in-app backup tools.

6. Acceptable Use

• Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose or to falsify flight records.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' data.
• Do not abuse AI-powered features (e.g., automated bulk requests).

7. Intellectual Property

The NavLog name, logo, design and software are our intellectual property. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app; no other rights are granted.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

NavLog is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data displayed (including weather, NOTAMs and duty calculations) is complete or accurate.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NavLog and its developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any operational, regulatory or career consequences arising from reliance on information in the app.

10. Termination

You may stop using NavLog and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
